Sauna Water is a wellness beverage company that celebrates
the natural & calming experiences of sauna culture.
Sauna Water was founded in 2023 as a collaboration between Minnesota companies, Portage Brewing Company and Cedar & Stone Sauna. Born from a shared love of sauna, nordic design, and sharing elevated experiences - Sauna Water was born.
As the brand reached more sauna benches and gained momentum across the Midwest, it became clear that Sauna Water needed dedicated focus to scale the brand further. In 2025, Jeff Vondenkamp (of Portage Brewing) acquired the brand to bring the full intention and resources required to scale the vision.
Today, Sauna Water can be found online and in over 280 stores across 16 states.

There's no question that our modern world continues to become more distanced from our evolutionary design. With each technological advancement, our biology moves further from our nature, creating a disconnect between self and environment - stress and contentment.
The ritual of sauna has always been about unlocking the ability to reconnect with nature, wellness, and community. Through the cycle of hot and cold, we find our truest potential - giving way to physical, mental, and emotional tools that we maybe never knew existed, and that improve our daily lives.
Sauna Water is a culmination of our creative process, the thermic cycle, and and our need to be nature. By designing beverages around various sauna cultures, the circle of hot, cold, and rehydration remains intact. Cheers.
